After the Nobel, Trump Sets His Sights on the Pulitzer

US President Donald Trump, who has repeatedly claimed that he deserves the Nobel Peace Prize for helping end several wars around the world, has now expressed disappointment over missing out on another prestigious honour. Trump said he should have received the Pulitzer Prize for his writing, too. Criticising journalists who won the award for reports related to Russia, he alleged that the honour had gone to undeserving recipients.

Addressing his supporters at an event in South Carolina, Trump criticised journalists who had reported on alleged Russian interference in US elections. He claimed their reporting was inaccurate and accused them of targeting him. Trump reiterated that his own writing deserved recognition, arguing that the Pulitzer Prize should have been awarded to him. The Pulitzer Prizes recognise outstanding achievements in fields including journalism, literature, drama and music.
