

Admissions have been announced for the B.Sc Forestry course at the state’s first Forest College and Research Institute, established to promote forest expansion, conservation, and environmental protection. Initially launched in 2016 at the Forest Academy in Dulapally near Kompally, Hyderabad, the institute was later shifted to Mulugu in Siddipet district with modern infrastructure. Spread across 52 hectares, buildings worth ₹72 crore have been in use since 2018.
Applications are open for 45 seats in the four-year B.Sc Forestry course, with the last date set for the 25th of this month. Students who have passed Intermediate (BiPC, MBiPC, MPC) and qualified in TG EAPCET 2026 are eligible. The curriculum includes forest conservation, biodiversity, wildlife protection, environmental management, agroforestry, and climate change. The institute also offers practical training, field visits to major forest regions, nursery management, and beekeeping. So far, 587 students have graduated, with 348 securing jobs. The institute also offers M.Sc programs.
