Andhra Pradesh has received a major boost in medical education as the National Medical Commission (NMC) approved 100 additional MBBS seats for government medical colleges in the state. Under the latest approval, Government Medical College, Kadapa, has been allotted 75 additional MBBS seats, while ACSR Government Medical College, Nellore, has received 25 new MBBS seats.
State Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav described the approval as a significant milestone in expanding medical education across Andhra Pradesh. He said the increase in MBBS seats would provide greater opportunities for aspiring medical students while strengthening the state's healthcare education infrastructure and improving the availability of trained medical professionals.
