The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has registered a case against Hyderabad Water Board General Manager Anantha Lakshmi Kumar over allegations of possessing disproportionate assets. Simultaneous raids were conducted at nine locations linked to the official. Lakshmi Kumar is currently serving as the General Manager of Red Hills Project Division-8 under the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board.
During the searches, ACB officials reportedly seized cash worth ₹1.10 crore, 2.1 kilograms of gold, and 9.2 kilograms of silver. The raids created a stir in official circles, with investigators continuing to examine financial records and property details linked to the accused officer. Further investigation into the case is underway.
