The Anti-Corruption Bureau is conducting searches at the residence of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Deputy Executive Officer Mendu Lokanatham and the houses of his relatives. ACB DSP Srinivas said the searches were initiated after obtaining search warrants from the Nellore ACB Court following information regarding alleged disproportionate assets. Lokanatham, who began his career as a Junior Assistant, is currently serving as a Deputy EO, and an inquiry into his assets is underway.
ACB teams are carrying out searches at a total of five locations, including Lokanatham’s residence and the homes of his relatives and brother. Officials are verifying gold, property documents and other records recovered during the searches as part of the investigation. The DSP also appealed to the public to report any government employee demanding a bribe by calling the ACB toll-free number 1064. People were further cautioned not to trust impersonators claiming to be ACB officials and attempting to collect money.
