A newly unveiled 27 foot Abhaya Anjaneya Swamy idol at the Sri Ramalayam Temple in Hyderabad’s BHEL area has gone viral on social media after devotees claimed that the idol’s eyes appear to follow them from every direction.

Videos of the idol have been widely shared across social media platforms, with devotees describing the experience as deeply spiritual, mesmerizing, and emotionally powerful.

The temple, located in Old MIG Colony near BHEL, is now attracting large crowds. However, experts say the effect is an optical illusion known as the “Mona Lisa effect”, created through symmetry, shading, and artistic depth, which has been widely praised for its craftsmanship.
