

The situation in Nepal continues to worsen following severe natural disasters and flash floods. According to Nepal’s Foreign Affairs Minister Shishir Khanal, around 300 Indians are among those reported missing after being swept away in the floods. The death toll in the disaster has risen to 175. Nepal’s disaster management authorities said that 826 people remain unaccounted for following the flash floods.
The disaster management agency stated that 579 of those missing are tourists. Rescue and search operations are continuing across the affected areas as authorities work to locate those still unaccounted for. Efforts are also underway to identify the missing Indian nationals and provide necessary assistance to people affected by the disaster.
