

The 17th State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) meeting has approved large-scale investments worth ₹2,01,023 crore in Andhra Pradesh, paving the way for major industrial growth in the state. Key approvals include a ₹1,08,010 crore data centre project by Reliance in Visakhapatnam, a ₹51,000 crore solar power plant with battery energy storage system in Sri Sathya Sai district, a ₹12,000 crore pumped hydro energy project by Adani in Kadapa, and a ₹2,500 crore Royal Enfield motorcycle manufacturing unit in Tirupati. In total, 25 projects were cleared, expected to generate 39,067 employment opportunities.
During the meeting, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu emphasized the importance of balancing large industries with MSME development under the “One Family – One Entrepreneur” initiative. He stated that infrastructure like gas pipelines should be extended to all industrial zones and highlighted strong opportunities in food processing and value addition of agricultural products like mango, coconut, cocoa, and oil palm. Officials including Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand, ministers, and departmental representatives attended the meeting.
