1.30 Lakh Cusecs Inflow to Almatti Reservoir

Due to heavy rainfall in the ghat regions of Maharashtra and Karnataka, the Krishna River is witnessing a surge in flow. The Almatti Reservoir in Karnataka is currently receiving an inflow of around 1.30 lakh cusecs. With a full storage capacity of 123 TMC, the reservoir has already reached 44.69 TMC.

If the inflow continues at this pace for the next few days, Krishna basin projects in the Telugu states are expected to receive substantial water inflows. This development is likely to benefit irrigation and water management across the region.
