A 116-year-old devotee was given the opportunity to have a special darshan of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala after a video of her walking uphill to the temple went viral on social media. Following the viral video, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu responded, directing officials to trace the elderly devotee and arrange a special darshan. Vigilance officials later identified her as Navaneethamma from Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
As per the Chairman's instructions, TTD arranged a VIP Break Darshan for Navaneethamma and her family members. TTD staff assisted her throughout the biometric verification and temple visit. Later, Vedic blessings were offered at the Ranganayakula Mandapam, where she was honoured with a silk shawl and presented with sacred teertham and prasadam. TTD Executive Officer Muddada Ravichandra sought her blessings, while her grandson, Dikpathi, expressed gratitude to the TTD and its Chairman for making the memorable darshan possible.
