

IT services major Wipro Ltd. reported a consolidated net profit of ₹3,352 crore for the first quarter (April-June) of the financial year 2026-27, compared with ₹3,330.4 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, registering a marginal year-on-year growth. Revenue from operations increased by 10.6% to ₹24,478.6 crore, up from ₹22,134.6 crore a year ago. On a sequential basis, however, net profit declined by 4.2%, while revenue recorded a 1% increase.
The company's IT services segment generated revenue of $2.6145 billion during the quarter, reflecting a 1% annual increase but a 1.4% sequential decline. Wipro has projected its IT services revenue for the July-September quarter to be between $2.574 billion and $2.627 billion. Total bookings stood at $3.37 billion, including $1.626 billion in large deal bookings. The IT services operating margin slipped to 16%, with Chief Financial Officer Aparna Iyer attributing the decline to salary hikes implemented from March 1 and continued investments in artificial intelligence. The company's board also announced an interim dividend of ₹2 per equity share.
