Ultraviolette has launched its new electric motorcycle, the X-47 Venom, in India at an introductory ex-showroom price of ₹3 lakh. The company is offering the first 5,000 units at a special price of ₹2.65 lakh. Bookings opened on October 22, while deliveries are scheduled to begin in November. The X-47 Venom is built on the company’s new VX-100 100V architecture and weighs 180 kg. According to the company, its new battery pack is 15 per cent lighter and offers 25 per cent greater capacity. The motorcycle also features an axial cooling system that is claimed to deliver twice the cooling performance of the earlier radial setup.
The X-47 Venom comes with an 11 kWh battery pack that offers a claimed range of up to 343 km. Ultraviolette says the motorcycle can accelerate from 0 to 60 kmph in 2.7 seconds and from 0 to 100 kmph in 5.9 seconds, with a top speed of 155 kmph. Reports also suggest that an entry-level variant with a 7 kWh battery may be offered, although its specifications are yet to be officially confirmed. The motorcycle features several advanced safety technologies, including blind-spot monitoring, lane-change assistance, overtake alerts and rear-collision warnings. Its hazard lights activate when a potential rear collision is detected, providing an additional safety measure for riders.
The motorcycle also features a 7-inch touchscreen powered by the company’s Interface X system. Its functions include onboard map navigation, rear-camera parking assistance and cruise control. The X-47 Venom will be available in four colour options: Afterburner Yellow, Turbo Red, Cosmic Black and Stellar White. Ultraviolette has also announced warranty coverage that can reportedly be extended up to 8,00,000 kilometres, subject to eligibility and detailed terms that are yet to be clarified. With its claimed long range, performance figures and advanced safety features, the X-47 Venom adds another option to India’s growing electric motorcycle market.
