Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), the country’s largest IT services company, is changing its approach to recruitment. The company is placing greater emphasis on candidates with digital and artificial intelligence (AI) skills as it prepares for the evolving demands of the technology industry.
Aarti Subramanian, TCS Chief Operating Officer, said that around 80% of the company’s future new hires are expected to possess digital and AI skills. This shift reflects the growing importance of these capabilities in the company’s hiring strategy.
TCS has also reported an increase in the contribution of AI-based services to its business. The company’s AI-driven services accounted for 10% of its total revenue in the quarter ended September. Subramanian said growth in AI-related revenue is expected to help improve the company’s profit margins.
