Tata Motors continued its dominance in India's electric vehicle (EV) market by emerging as the best-selling electric car manufacturer in June 2026. The company recorded sales of 12,187 units, comfortably retaining the top position. Mahindra & Mahindra secured second place with 7,766 units, trailing Tata Motors by 4,421 vehicles. The figures reflect Tata's sustained leadership despite rising competition in the rapidly expanding EV segment.
Mahindra has been strengthening its presence with an expanding portfolio of electric vehicles, but Tata Motors continues to enjoy a significant market advantage. Meanwhile, Maruti Suzuki ranked fourth after selling 1,919 electric vehicles during the month. Tata's sales were more than six times higher than Maruti Suzuki's, highlighting the company's continued dominance as India's EV market witnesses growing participation from multiple automobile manufacturers.
