Indian equity markets ended marginally higher on Monday after a volatile trading session. The Sensex gained 43 points to close at 78,542, while the Nifty rose 13 points to settle at 24,583. The indices fluctuated throughout the day before stabilising near the closing levels.
Investors remained cautious amid geopolitical concerns and fluctuations in crude oil prices linked to tensions around the Strait of Hormuz. Positive signals from major Asian markets and easing concerns over US interest rates provided some support. Analysts see strong support for the Nifty around 24,350 and resistance near 25,000, with the market likely to remain range-bound until global geopolitical uncertainties ease.
