Rising EV Share, Declining Fuel Consumption

The consumption of petroleum products has declined, while the use of electric vehicles (EVs) has increased significantly amid the West Asia crisis. According to an SBI Research report, EV adoption has grown steadily across all states since February this year.

The report highlights that the EV share in the state rose sharply from 1.6% in 2024 to 8.9% so far this year. The trend reflects a rapid shift toward cleaner mobility and reduced dependence on fossil fuels.
