Nissan India on Thursday announced the name of its new multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) as “Gravite.” The company plans to launch the mid-size SUV Tekton by mid-year and a seven-seater SUV at the beginning of 2027, according to Massimiliano Messina, Chairperson of Nissan Amieo (covering Africa, West Asia, India, Europe, and Oceania). He also stated that by the end of the 2026-27 fiscal year, Nissan aims to expand its sales network in India from 155 to 250 outlets.
Saurabh Vats, MD of Nissan Motor India, mentioned that these vehicles are being designed to meet the needs of Indian customers and will also be exported to international markets. Currently, Nissan’s domestic lineup in India only includes the Magnite.
