US-based iPhone manufacturing giant Apple has achieved another significant milestone in India. The company, which manufactures iPhones in the country through partnerships with Taiwan-based Foxconn and Tata Electronics, generated market revenue of over ₹3 lakh crore from India last year.
With this performance, Apple has climbed to the second position among the largest manufacturing companies in the country in terms of turnover. Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles currently holds the top spot with market revenue of ₹3.49 lakh crore.
Meanwhile, Hindalco ranks third with revenue of ₹2.61 lakh crore, followed by Tata Steel in fourth place with ₹2.25 lakh crore. Mahindra & Mahindra secured the fifth position with market revenue of ₹1.86 lakh crore.
