ICICI Bank, one of India’s leading private sector banks, is set to revise select cash transaction charges for savings account holders from December 1, 2026. The revision will affect certain cash deposits and withdrawals carried out through bank branches and cash recycler machines. According to the information provided, the bank plans to increase the charge for transactions exceeding the applicable free limit from Rs. 3.50 to Rs. 4 per Rs. 1,000. The reported monthly free cash transaction allowance remains unchanged, with customers continuing to receive three free cash transactions, subject to the applicable terms and limits.
The revised charges are expected to primarily affect customers who frequently deposit or withdraw large amounts of cash through bank branches. Customers who stay within the applicable free transaction and cash value limits may not face additional charges under this revision. The reported value limit is Rs. 1 lakh per month, beyond which charges may apply. Customers should check ICICI Bank’s official schedule of charges to confirm the rules applicable to their particular savings account before making large cash transactions. The bank has listed savings account charge revisions on its official notice board.
