Heritage Clarifies 'Fresh Paneer' Tag

Heritage Foods Limited has submitted a detailed response to the show cause notice issued by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) regarding the use of the term “Fresh Paneer” on its paneer packets. The company stated that the label accurately describes the product and does not mislead consumers.

According to Heritage Foods, “Fresh Paneer” refers to a dairy product prepared from freshly pasteurized milk and intended for consumption within a limited shelf life under refrigerated conditions. The company maintained that the label clearly reflects the nature of the product and complies with consumer information requirements.
