India-US trade effect... Harley-Davidson prices set to decrease

Following the interim trade agreement between India and the United States, India has significantly reduced import duties on premium motorcycles imported from the US. With no import duties now applicable on bikes with engine capacities ranging from 800 cc to 1600 cc, this will be a major relief for companies like Harley-Davidson. The new tariff policy will come into effect after the official signing of the agreement.

At the same time, India has also reduced tariffs on some cars imported from the US. However, since electric cars were excluded from this trade deal, Tesla did not benefit significantly. On the other hand, industry sources believe that this decision will provide some relief to domestic automobile companies.
