Gold Rates on Nov 28: Silver Prices Shoot Up as Gold Slips Slightly
After two consecutive days of sharp gains, gold prices dipped slightly on Friday morning, while silver recorded a significant jump. Here are the latest gold and silver rates across major Indian cities.
Due to a weaker dollar and expectations of a possible rate cut by the U.S. Federal Reserve, gold prices surged in the last two days. However, by Friday morning, prices softened. According to GoodReturns, the price of 24-carat gold per 10 grams in India dropped to ₹1,27,740. The price of 22-carat gold stood at ₹1,17,090, while silver prices climbed to ₹1,80,100 per kilogram.
With the chances of a major Fed rate cut becoming slimmer and the Russia-Ukraine conflict nearing an end, geopolitical tensions are easing. Experts say this may reduce demand for gold as investors shift towards equities.
