After witnessing a sharp decline yesterday, gold and silver prices surged significantly today. The price of 10 grams of pure gold increased by approximately ₹5,400, reaching close to the ₹1.60 lakh mark. Similarly, silver prices jumped sharply by nearly ₹20,000, touching ₹3.60 lakh. As of 11:00 AM today in the domestic market, the price of 24-carat gold stood at ₹1,59,710 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was trading at ₹1,46,400 per 10 grams.
Silver prices also recorded an unexpected spike today, with the price of silver reaching ₹3.60 lakh per kilogram. Market experts attribute this sudden rise in gold and silver prices to the weakening of the US dollar and increased global uncertainty amid expectations of a new chairman for the US Federal Reserve. These factors have driven investors towards safe-haven assets, pushing precious metal prices higher.
Note: Gold and silver prices are subject to frequent fluctuations. Buyers are advised to check the latest rates before making any purchase.
