Gold and silver prices continue to rise across the country

Over the past week, gold and silver prices have been rising steadily, putting pressure on common buyers. Although prices dipped slightly at times due to profit booking by investors, overall the trend has remained upward. Market experts believe that prices may continue to rise this week as well. According to the Good Returns website, as of 6:30 AM today, the price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold stood at ₹1,33,900, while 22-carat ornamental gold was priced at ₹1,22,740. The price of silver was hovering around ₹1,97,900 per kilogram (Gold, Silver Rates on Dec 15).

Chennai recorded the highest price for 24-carat gold at ₹1,34,940 per 10 grams. In Hyderabad and Vijayawada, pure gold was priced at ₹1,33,900 per 10 grams. Silver prices in Chennai stood at ₹2,09,900 per kilogram, while similar rates were seen in Hyderabad and Vijayawada as well.

Market analysts estimate that gold and silver prices are likely to rise further this week. Inflation trends in the US, Europe, Britain, the UK, and India are expected to influence precious metal prices. Additionally, the weakening of the Indian rupee against the US dollar may also contribute to higher gold and silver prices in the domestic market.
