

Gold and silver prices have been witnessing a downward trend in recent days, and the same trend continued today as well. According to the GoodReturns website, as of 10:00 AM today, the price of 24-carat gold in the Hyderabad bullion market declined by ₹490, bringing the price of 10 grams to ₹1,59,170. The price of 22-carat gold also dropped by ₹450, with the current price of 10 grams of ornamental gold standing at ₹1,45,900. However, silver prices in the city remained stable at ₹2,79,900 per kilogram. Similar price trends are being observed in Vijayawada as well.
Gold prices have also slightly declined in other major cities across the country. On average, the price of pure gold fell by about ₹490. In Chennai, the price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold is the highest at ₹1,61,010. Meanwhile, in cities such as Mumbai, Kolkata, and Bengaluru, the price of 24-carat gold stands at ₹1,59,170 for 10 grams. At the same time, the price of 22-carat gold in Chennai is ₹1,47,590, while in Mumbai, Kolkata and Bengaluru it is priced at ₹1,45,900.
Silver prices have also shown minor variations across different regions. In Chennai, the price of silver is ₹2,79,900 per kilogram, while in cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, and Bengaluru it is hovering around ₹2.7 lakh per kilogram. Market analysts say that the decline in gold and silver prices is largely due to investors shifting their focus toward investments in the US dollar.
