Rising geopolitical tensions in West Asia have impacted global markets, leading to a surge in crude oil prices. This has now directly affected domestic fuel rates, with oil marketing companies revising prices after a long period of stability.
Petrol prices have been increased by ₹3.14 per litre, while diesel prices have gone up by ₹3.11 per litre across the country. In addition, CNG prices have been raised by ₹2 per kilogram, according to official updates.
Experts warn that the fuel price hike may further increase the burden on consumers, as transportation costs are expected to rise. This could also lead to higher prices of vegetables and essential goods in the coming days.
