Walmart-owned e-commerce company Flipkart is reportedly preparing to launch an online food delivery service in India under the brand name ‘Eat-In by Minutes’. According to a TechCrunch report, the company recently conducted internal testing in Bengaluru involving around 8,000 employees. Flipkart is reportedly aiming to make the service publicly available by the end of October 2026. The platform is expected to be integrated into its existing shopping app, positioning the company to compete with established food delivery platforms such as Zomato and Swiggy.
Flipkart is reportedly planning to use a dedicated delivery team through its logistics arm, Ekart, for the new service. Delivery riders wearing ‘Eat-In by Minutes’ branded T-shirts have also been spotted in Bengaluru. The restaurant listings are expected to include ONDC partners as well as restaurants registered directly with the platform. The company is reportedly considering a base commission of around 10% for restaurants. However, Flipkart is yet to officially confirm the launch date, commission structure and other operational details.
