Equity mutual fund schemes in India attracted net investments of ₹38,306 crore in September, marking a 31% increase over the ₹29,329 crore recorded in August, according to the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI). The September inflows were the highest since April, when investments stood at ₹38,440 crore.
The steady inflow of investments came despite significant market volatility and continued foreign investor outflows. Investments in small-cap and mid-cap funds contributed to the overall inflows, reflecting continued interest among domestic investors. AMFI also reported that net investments through Systematic Investment Plans (SIPs) reached a new lifetime high of ₹32,490 crore in September, highlighting sustained participation in mutual fund investments.
