SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has emphasised the importance of affordable pricing for Starlink’s satellite internet services in India. He said that customers would be unlikely to pay excessively high prices, suggesting that competitive rates would be essential for the service to attract users. In a post on X, Musk also highlighted the benefits of competition, arguing that it ultimately works in favour of consumers.
His remarks come amid growing attention on competition in India’s satellite internet market. Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani and other industry players are also associated with efforts to expand connectivity and internet services. Musk reportedly made another critical remark about Ambani as part of the discussion. However, Starlink’s final pricing, launch timeline and service availability in India depend on the company’s official announcements and applicable regulatory approvals.
