Do You Know Which Is India's Richest District?

India’s economic landscape is witnessing significant changes, with Rangareddy district in Telangana emerging as the richest district in the country in terms of per capita GDP. According to a report prepared using InfraMantra economic data, Rangareddy recorded a per capita GDP of ₹11.46 lakh, surpassing traditional financial hubs such as Mumbai.

The report ranks Gurugram (Haryana) second with ₹9.05 lakh, followed by Bengaluru Urban (Karnataka) at ₹8.93 lakh, Gautam Buddha Nagar (Uttar Pradesh) at ₹8.48 lakh, and Solan (Himachal Pradesh) at ₹8.10 lakh. Other districts in the top 10 include Goa, Sikkim, Dakshina Kannada, Mumbai, and Ahmedabad.

Rangareddy’s remarkable growth has been driven by the presence of global IT companies, pharmaceutical industries, life sciences, and biotechnology parks. Its proximity to Hyderabad has also boosted tourism and infrastructure, with world-class roads, hospitality facilities, and connectivity supporting both economic development and visitor experiences.
