Bloodbath in Domestic Indices: Sharp Decline in Stock Market

The stock market witnessed a sharp decline today, with domestic indices recording significant losses, leading to a “bloodbath” situation in the market. Investor wealth is estimated to have eroded by around ₹14.19 lakh crore in a single day. Over the past 15 trading sessions, a total of approximately ₹47.53 lakh crore in market wealth has reportedly been wiped out.

The Sensex closed with a massive loss of 1,836 points at 72,696, while the Nifty dropped 601 points to settle at 22,512. The steep fall in the market has raised concerns among investors.
