Big Relief for International Travellers

International passengers at Indian airports will no longer need to present physical boarding passes for immigration clearance. From September 1, travellers can simply show their e-boarding passes on their smartphones. The move follows the removal of the requirement for physical stamping of relevant travel documents, according to the Bureau of Immigration (BoI).

The BoI said passengers enrolled under the Fast Track Immigration Trusted Traveller Programme (FTI-TTP) will also be able to use the facility at e-gates. The new system is aimed at making international travel more seamless and paperless, reducing the need for physical documents during immigration procedures.
