Banking employees are once again preparing to go on strike. The United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU), representing seven banking employee unions, has announced a nationwide strike on the 11th of this month to press for a five day workweek and other key demands. The unions have urged the government to intervene immediately and address their concerns.
If the government fails to intervene and prevent the strike, banking operations across the country could face significant disruption. The ongoing situation could potentially lead to banking services being affected for nearly four days nationwide. The disruption may also have an impact on customers and business activities.
