Oil Marketing Companies have reduced the price of Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) supplied to international airlines by 27 percent. The revised pricing came into effect from the 1st of this month. Following a decline in global crude oil prices, the cost of ATF per kilolitre has been cut from 1,511.86 dollars to around 1,100 dollars, a reduction of over 400 dollars. This move is expected to bring some relief in international airfares, with ticket prices likely to see a marginal decline.
However, there has been no revision in ATF prices for domestic airlines for the second consecutive month. In Delhi, the price of ATF for domestic carriers remains at Rs 1,04,927 per kilolitre, keeping operational costs unchanged for internal flight services.
