The Adani Group, led by Gautam Adani, has dismissed reports claiming that it is planning to enter the airline business. The company described the media reports and market speculation as baseless and inaccurate, clarifying that Adani Enterprises is not considering any proposal to launch or acquire a scheduled airline service.
The clarification comes after reports suggested that the group had sought changes to regulations restricting airport operators from holding more than a 10% stake in a scheduled airline. Speculation also intensified following a recent agreement between Adani Defence & Aerospace and the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) to develop the next-generation AEW&C Mk-II system for the Indian Air Force. However, the company has reiterated that these developments are unrelated to any plans in the commercial aviation sector.
